Are you a Senior Developer with analysis, planning and implementation experience? Can you lead a technical team to work wonders with a multi-stakeholder client brief and the latest technologies and tools? Do you live and breathe web standards, open standards and open source?

About you

We are looking for a Senior Developer to work with a project manager and a growing team of web developers and designers to deliver exceptional web projects.

You must possess a passion for what you do - delivery of quality digital projects by sound analysis and planning; and communication and implementation with your team. Your ability to work with designers and developers using your clear and friendly communication skills is key. If you have Drupal Development skills - great. If not - we will train you in one of the finest open source platforms around...

To apply for this role you will need to have:

  • a minimum of 3-5 years experience in a high quality LAMP web development environment
  • complete understanding of the web project software life cycle
  • the ability to analyse a brief and work with your team to create quality results
  • demonstrable experience of the above via at least 3 major URLs
  • the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly
  • a sound approach to organising your own - and others' - work
  • the desire for continuous self improvement and a passion for learning

Nice to have:

  • an understanding of the agile development process and scrum
  • drupal development experience
  • experience building social networks and online communities

About the role

This role is approximately 60% analysis, scoping and planning and 40% development and/or guidance of developers. You will work closely with the Project Manager across the whole project life cycle: from proposal to pitch; strategy, analysis, scoping and planning; to development and testing. Some client facing aspect may be required but this will be limited and is not a major aspect of the role - we already have excellent people in the team who do the client facing part...

The most suitable candidate for this Senior Developer role will have 3-5 years experience in LAMP (ideally also Drupal) development, with a desire to move into and be involved in more of the strategic aspect of projects - working with the fuller project life cycle - but still with the ability work with and lead the development team.

If you are a developer with less than the stipulated experience - but are extremely hardworking and can show considerable ability for rapid personal development - you are welcome to apply.
