Getting to DrupalCon by international train
If you're taking a EuroStar train through the channel tunnel, you'll arrive at London St Pancras International ("STP") station.
Depending on when you arrive, you can either take a direct First Capital Connect Bedford-Brighton service train to East Croydon (takes about 30 mins) or you might take to first take the underground to London Bridge ("LBG") station and change to the Bedford-Brighton service there (platform 8) which takes 45 minutes to an hour.
The direct train costs £4.80 one way. The indirect service costs around £7.00.

Oyster card
Could a local enlighten me about whether I should bother getting an oyster card for my week in London?
I'll be taking trains from St Pancras to East Croydon and back and will probably head into the city on one or more evenings.
