Acquia's user experience team is looking for an interaction designer/visual designer who can help us build great products. Your work will help us envision and shape our goals through building interactive storyboards that stand up against our target market. You will qualify, refine and extend our existing suite of products so that new and existing customers keep coming back.
We’re immersed in the hottest technologies, we’ve helped companies of all shapes and sizes design, build, maintain and monitor their Drupal website – and we’re one of Boston’s hottest start-ups. We’re just warming up!
Responsibilities
- Work with product owner(s) to flush out product goals
- Design products interactions aligning to the goals of our target audience
- Design visual interfaces aligning to the goals of our target audience and company brand
- Design validation through brainstorming, paper prototyping, and design reviews
- Working on location at Acquia’s main office in Woburn, MA just north of Boston
What we're looking for
- Online portfolio demonstrating a keen eye for detail and a proven track record in interaction design, composition, and visual design of web applications
- Ability to transition between projects and handle a rapidly changing, high velocity environment while delivering quality results
- Ability to solicit and incorporate diverse perspectives
- A well-rounded understanding of user centered design and usability best practices
- 4-5 years experience designing web applications
- Passion for creating online experiences
- Professional, team player with strong interpersonal skill and would be characterized as a self starter
- Contract to perm
Extra credit
- Aptitude for designing for theme based CMS packages
- Drupal experience
- Ability to prototype ideas
This position is located at Acquia’s main office in Woburn, MA just north of Boston. This is a contract to permanent position.
