Beer-loving Drupal developer needed

Jun 6

We're looking to hire a Drupal / PHP developer to come work for us in Cheltenham, to help us continue our exponential growth and rapid rise to Drupal stardom!

How to get in the door

Being certified to rock is a sure-fire way to get yourself noticed at Tigerfish. Failing that, solid Drupal 6 or Drupal 7 experience will get our attention. Still, don't worry if you have never worked with Drupal before; it's growing, but it's still a niche. We need 2 years' PHP experience as a minimum.

We'll take a better PHP programmer with no Drupal experience over a mediocre Drupal programmer, so if you don't have Drupal experience, don't let it put you off.

What you'll do

You'll be working with a tight group of developers and designers, putting together high-quality, bug-free Drupal 7 websites. You'll be implementing existing modules, adpating them (giving back to the community where possible), and writing custom modules from scratch.

You'll also be working on our cutting-edge email and social marketing platform, Wildfire, expanding it, adding features, and upgrading existing systems.

What you get

We're a small development company, and teamwork is key. You'll have direct access to the entire development team, so rather than playing email ping pong or going upstairs to ask your question, just blurt it out; the guy with the answer is probably right next to you.

We put a priority on staying at the top of the techie food chain. You'll get your own choice of operating system and editing tools, and you'll have the chance to play with Google Apps, Skype, Basecamp, Litmus, Twitter and loads more.

Why choose us?

We're small, but it's because we're small that we're highly skilled in what we do. You'll be working with our emerging email and social media platform, Wildfire, which is a great opportunity to build upon a powerful Drupal-based product. This is also the team that brought fancyslide, the image slideshow module, to the Drupal party, and is spearheading the development of a native Drupal-based CRM system.

We're really close to the centre of Cheltenham in spacious, modern offices, and we have blazing fast Internet and a host of hi-tech gadgetry (plus fish)! We all work a proper day with a full hour for lunch, so no rushing around like a headless chicken, and because we're small we're flexible and accommodating when it comes to special working needs or circumstances.

Oh, and come to work in jeans and a hoodie if you like. We do. You're a developer, after all! No fussy dress codes.

We're also a bit fond of beer, so expect a nice social pub lunch every now and again, and some great social events, like the regular CHELTDUG meetup.
